Nurosym delivers a small electrical current to the auricular branch of the vagus nerve at the tragus. That is transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation in the sense the research literature uses the term.
Apollo Neuro delivers patterned vibration to touch receptors in the skin of the wrist or ankle. No current, no nerve stimulated directly. The company’s framing is that particular rhythms shift you toward a calmer autonomic state.

Two kinds of evidence, and why the comparison is not a scoreboard
Count publications and Apollo wins. Ask what the publications are about and the picture changes shape.
Apollo returns 17 records on a PubMed search for the device. Four name it directly, in the American Journal of Medicine, the Journal of Rheumatology, JMIR mHealth and uHealth and the Journal of Psychiatric Research, covering wellbeing in medical students, fatigue in systemic sclerosis, sleep and anxiety during ketamine assisted therapy. Several are small. That is still more device specific published work than any electrical device in this category has.
Nurosym has fewer papers and they sit inside the field you are probably shopping in. A sham controlled randomized trial in postural tachycardia syndrome names the Parasym device in its full text methods, and a long COVID pilot names the Parasym system. The POTS trial ran 12 active against 14 sham, so it is small, and it is a real controlled trial of the actual hardware.

Nurosym is the biggest time commitment in this category. Thirty to sixty minutes daily on a wired clip, no app, nothing to configure. It is closer to taking a medication than to using a gadget. Some people find that clarity easier and others cannot sustain it.
